Saving Time…Saving Money… Have you ever been injected with a syringe by a Doctor or Nurse who might have accidentally stuck themselves first? Were you even aware of that ever happening? The sad truth is that it happens everyday and it happens thousands of times a day! Here is my story behind the story and how I invented my product. I was in a car accident in 1989 that ended my career as a heavy equipment diesel mechanic. I was hit by a drunk driver and I miraculously survived...but why? I had compound fractures on both elbows, right ankle, left knee, hip, and my pelvis was also severely broken. This started me on a long road of surgeries and recovery. With all the surgeries I had over the years I discovered a problem that needed to be solved. I heard of many accidental needle sticks as well as witnessed a few and had it happen to me as well. At first I didn't think much of it. I also didn't realize the magnitude of the problem. Then it hit me. My doctor has used the new safety syringes on me over the years. On one of my visits I was getting several cortisone shots when an accident happened. At that point I realized that no one should hold the vials! {Was this God's reason for my survival?} So I came home and developed the Vial^PRO™ I had to overcome the obstacle of picking up the vials with one hand and pulling a dose of medication with the other - this is awkward at best. However, this is the way it has been done for many, many years - it's a professional habit, or should I say a professional obstacle. The truth is this habit must be stopped, for everyone's best interest. That includes both patients, doctors, nurses and every medical practitioner that administers a needle shot. People don’t realize that “What can save a life, can also take a life.” Here’s How I Began In 2006 I started the company to save the lives of those who have literally saved mine. In 2006 I patented my product The real breakthrough came in 2007 when my company Glamme^Systems Inc. won third place in the Governors Giant Visions Business Award of South Dakota. As we all know, credibility is very important as well safety and government regulations. In 2007 I completed my FDA registration and incorporated Glamme^Systems, Inc. We are Medicaid and Medicare services convenience approved as well as an OSHA Compliant Passive device. We have accomplished so much in so little time. Our goals are simple: ‘to reduce the number of needle stick accidents, cross-contamination and save lives as well as billions of dollars.’ This is accomplished with the Vial^PRO™ by providing more control for the individual administering the needle shot from start to finish. Another benefit of the Vial^ PRO™ is to reduce landfill waste. That's why our products are made to last a lifetime; and we will recycle and replace any defective unit. Thank you very much for your time and concern. Lance Glammeier, President |
